20131028-The Edward Snowden 'NSA' saga continues as allies learned of U.S. survalence of personal phone calls overseas of State Leaders. Among those who are suspecting are State Leaders in Germany and France and as many as 60 nations altogether. Although, esponage is the oldest profession in history, State leaders continue to complain over U.S. superiority in these matters. I suppose in the future, State leaders will be reassured that the U.S. will continue to lead in the fight over terror and our allies do benefit 'tremendously' from U.S. technology and cooperation.

20130611-Edward Snowden was a GED Graduate, who was given a job working in a low level IT position and ACCESS to IN/OUT survalence DATA and Decryption software. His Standard Operating Procedure required him each day to enter the system and survale the data according to specific instruction. Snowden also read, understood and signed a receipt of information document that indicated the data was protected by the Privacy Act of 1974 and his lack of compliance with the law could result in his prosecution. Just like millions of people who work in data sensitive jobs every day and who use high-level computers and software which allow access to some of the most exclusive & personal information on the planet i.e. medical records.

20130528-Eric Holder testifies, James Rosen was investigated for reporting a North Korean nuclear-weapons test. He reported that the CIA learned of this fact from a source inside North Korea. In other words, Rosen revealed that the CIA had a source inside North Korea. It is also unclear whether the source was a human spy or communications intercept; No thanks to this story, the source is probably no longer alive or active. These are the people who put our people serving overseas AT RISK!

Eric Holder had recused himself from the investigation since he may be implicated as the leaker and James Cole, The Deputy AG has overseen the investigation. Now Congress calls the investigation an over-reach of the 1st Amendment and are no longer complaining about the release of National Security Information.

20130618-Corporate America has been data-mining the public's personal information for decades and using our information for the purpose of target advertising. The more information they have about us makes their advertising more personable and directed to meet our need even when a need may be identified but unnecessary. Data-mining is nothing new except when the warrantless wire-taping under G.W. Bush had no over-sight & since the creation of the Foreign Intelligence Survalence Act 'FISA' of 1978, under the Carter Administration after Watergate under the Nixon Administration.

20130616  The Patriot Act 2001 is an Act of Congress that was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. The title of the act is a ten letter bacronym (USA PATRIOT) that stands for Uniting and Strengthening America by providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001. The act, as a response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th, significantly weakened restrictions on law enforcement agencies' gathering of intelligence within the United States; expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particular those involving foreign individuals and entities; and broadened the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts. The act also expanded the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers can be applied. On May 26, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the PATRIOT Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act: roving wiretaps, searches of business records (the "library records provision"), and conducting surveillance of "lone wolves" individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups.

20130615-The Benghazi diplomatic compound was a small satelite post which was 300 miles away from the main U.S. Libyian Embassy in Tripoli. It was the small diplomatic outpost in Benghazi that was Attacked on September 11, 2012 by heavily armed terrorists. 65 CIA agents were present on the compound and resposible for protecting the main diplomatic building on the compound. The 65 CIA did not have a clue terrorist were Present and had overrun the post. A second assault followed in the early morning the next day and targeted a CIA annex nearby, on yet a smaller compound where the Four people were killed, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. Ten others were injured. The Question now, is how much foreign aide is needed to identify a threat and protect small satellite outposts throughtout the world.

20130514-The covert CIA mission to penetrate Al Quaeda in Yemen in 2012, resulted in the recovery of what is now known as the sophisticated 'Christmas Day underwear bomb'. The Mission was reported by the 'AP' American Press before the mission was completed. Since the AP had scooped the President, for making a National Announcement the next day. Congressional Members called the news report by AP, a WASHINGTON LEAK.

If Government Leaks are Unlawful, then why is 'AP' not complicit? Republican, Peter King, now believes the press who collaborated with crimminal-leakers should also be prosecuted 'as complicit'.

Successfully infiltrating al Qaeda is so rare, leaks can be especially damaging for undercover agents who risk their lives to gain the enemy's trust. Congressional members on both sides of the political spectrum were outraged. John Mccain and others called for a Congressional investigation and the Justice Department calls it a serious breach in National Security.

20130513  Benghazi Timeline
The 8th Bengazi hearing has just begun and it has been 8 months since the attack on the small and much less protected compound in Bengazi which is located at least 300 miles from the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli. Congress, in all this time has still not yet appropriated funding to increase 'force protection' for any of the 300 some Embassies throughout the World!  If Republicans were truely sincere about protecting our men and women serving abroad, they should put their money where their mouth is not, and is certainly not where we can protect those who are serving abroad, right Now and over the last 8 months since the incident.
